Make It Two

Israel in the winter
Happy happy me. Once again I'm in one of my favorite places in the world. They say it's winter, but hey all I can see is sun! Herzliyya here we come.

On one of our tours to Tel Aviv/Yafo we stopped by the flea market,  I truly love this place! This time I bought two nice cups and a wooden elephant for dad. I also had some time to play around with the tourist stuff. Good times.

Spent some time in Kfar Saba's lovely park, it's a perfect place for a run. The art in the park might be a bit distracting though, I stopped several times in order to have a closer look.. I have really missed the sun on my runs back home, sweating in minus degrees and wind is not as fun as under a blue sky! I also tried the warm winter drink Sachlav for the first time at the café Aroma. Sachlav is a thick milk-based drink made with rose water, coconut, walnuts and cinnamon, super good!

New Years Eve we spent on the beach in Herzliyya! We had lunch with Gilad's cousin and his wife at Benedicts, a restaurant that serves breakfast all day. Later on we went to a bar next to Tel Aviv University together with Gilads friends and I had some delicious mojitos. After midnight we decided to go the best hamburger restaurant in Israel (according to me) Moses. Had some awesome burgers before we headed home. Once again - HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Gilad and I went to Jerusalem for a short trip one of the days, the city was as lovely as always (just slightly colder) and the prices waaay cheaper then during high season.

I was also very fortunate that my lovely girls Gal and Yeela had time to see me. So nice to be able to catch up. And finally I met Raz again, it was such a long time ago!! Him and his fiancée invited us for a delicious dinner at their place. Had such a great night!

Okay, I will admit... not all my days during this holiday has been sunny. Even if I wished they would have been. There was a storm, a lot of rain and even some hail. and I did wear my jacket during the nights. But over all, I'm in love with the Israeli winter anyway.
